Haven't seen Bullit for a while, but I remember it being tame in comparison, but good for the day.

I don't get it, how can you dislike Ronin?

BTW, in the alternative ending the woman in it gets bundled off in a terrorist van (I think it's the woman, can't remember to be sure) and that's about it.

    BTW,
Have you guys seen the car chase at the start of Subway ... what do you think of that?

In my opinion, you're not watching the Ronin car chases loud enough smile

    That film was alright.

The chase was the best bit though.
Trans-Am against a Chevy pickup, awesome engine sounds. I like V8s me.

You guy`s are going to laugh at me for this one but I think 'Hillary and Jackie' is one of the most moving film I have ever seen.
    That`s my two cents worth.

    Flash Gordon:- (UK c.1980)
"DIIIIVVEE!"- if you've seen it you'll
know what I'm talking about- hehe.

    Gattaca:-
Was slated as "dull and boring".
For what it lacks in action and effects,
it tackles a very interesting subject-
with a slight tinge of 1984/Brave new world.
Clever usage of existing buildings as sets-
that don't look like bloody shopping centres
    or disused power stations.
Nice simplistic retro styled design, gives
the film an eery sense of a possible future
which isn't overblown with the usual->
    Alienhovercarraygunship crap.
Subtle, underplayed, and ultimately very poinient.

That was on the other day.
Fun film I guess, the theme tune cracks me up!
Brian Blesed (sp) was funny too.

Was it underrated? Are you old enough to remember its reception all those years ago?

YES! Flash Gordon was underrated in it's time, it was a complete flop.
If I remember rightly the critics said that it was just hoping on the Starwars bandwagon.
In my own personal opinion I thought Flash Gordon rocked in a cheesey kind of way.
Look man what more could you ask it's got Brain eek Blessed eek in it!
